JANUARY 2021 NEWSLETTER
LETTER FROM OUR DIRECTOR

Because a Library staff member has tested positive for Covid-19, Dripping Springs Community Library will suspend all services including porch side delivery, scheduled time to use DSCL computers, printers, fax, copy machines, and in-house programs until at least Wednesday, January 6th.

Please watch our website or social media pages and look for future newsletters for updates. PLEASE NOTE: Do not worry about returning library materials. We are moving due dates ahead, so you will not receive fines through the period we are closed. ALSO: all Reserve items are temporarily suspended, and the ability to place Reserves is also suspended.

“A new heart for a New Year, always!” - Charles Dickens

Mr. Dickens had the right idea for beginning each new year, but it seems like especially good advice for us as we begin 2021.

Did you know about the DSCL eResources that are available when you login into your library account? Even if you said, "Yes," I would encourage you to investigate them again! You may have missed seeing everything on the list. These electronic resources are DSCL paid subscriptions to information from different companies, and we make them available for you to use for free. You will not have access to the information they contain just by searching on the internet. You may come across a related website, but you will have to have your own paid account to see what is available. Most of these eResources are educational and some are for your reading pleasure. We hope you will take advantage of all of them which are made available to you through your DSCL account!

Read below for the ways that DSCL is beginning 2021!

Take care!
